In and of itself, I am a true Apple fan. Have pretty much the entire model range of the Californian fruit shop) Nevertheless me a friend had called attention to the Nexus 4 and I was already very impressed after purchase.
I traced the rumor mill for Nexus 5 and had slammed shut as soon as it was available in PlayStore. The Nexus 5 is my iPhone 4s now finally replaced as my primary device.
I like the process well, although I was far more of a plastic opponents. LG has worked here but great - nothing feels cheap. The display is impressively well - we must not forget in this smartphone that it is an absolute price / performance hit. What Google for 350 or 400 euros (for the 32GB variant) offers here, get some manufacturer for twice the price (MSRP) not go.
Large - crucial for me - advantage: Unlike most other manufacturers of Android devices, the Nexus 5 with stock Android (Currently Version 4.4 "Kitkat") is equipped. Ie: you can IMMEDIATELY update to the latest version of the operating system and not have to wait for the latest versions of Android individualized variants of Samsung, HTC and company. The Nexus 5 is impressively fast, every action passes without annoying Mikroruckler - the Snapdragon 800 runs like crazy.
The battery provides 2300mAh and fired the smartphone not overly - but at least so well that you come with average use halfway through the day. Definitely much better than the Nexus. 4
How to operate the unit "problems" with one hand, is a mystery to me. I want to see the hand that reaches from the lower left corner to the upper right corner of each spot on the display;) But I also believe hardly that you can use a smartphone necessarily "perfect" with one hand must. Apple's opinion about all due respect - but my breaks no spikes of the crown, when I bring a second hand into play when needed ...
Smaller downer: The camera. Now is not particularly bad - but also not high-end. A clear "so-so" for the camera. Where there is an attempt by Google to find a solution here, the biggest problem was, until recently, the lack of autofocus.
Impressive performance with superior price / performance ratio and a great operating system. Strong buy recommendation.
