The game itself is really great, the graphics are very pretty succeeded it loving and respectful cites the original from 1990, the orchestral soundtrack fits perfectly and is geared nicely on Megadrive game, but just up to date and no Chiptune can last longer (one but also optionally activate). The music editions are to be well done, but you give them notes clear that they are from the "Banjo Kazooie" -Komponisten. Every now and then the pieces for my taste a little too reminiscent of the N64 classic. The levels have exactly the right length and are beautifully designed.
Compared to the PC version have been made very clear pictorial cuts (obviously). The lighting calculation is much simpler, the polygon number of Level objects was significantly reduced and the textures are much coarser. Only the enemies seem to me unchanged, they act compared to the rest correspondingly greater detail. Otherwise the game is probably an identical port. I've played so far, the first five levels and are similar in structure 1: 1 of the PC version.
The resolution is very fine, is likely to be 1080p. Unfortunately not so nice is the frame rate that varies so felt between 20 and 40 frames per second back and forth, mostly to the 24 I would appreciate times. In Plattformern that is rather unpleasant, it makes it difficult to control compared to the PC version with 60 fps but very noticeable. I am certainly not "all games must run at 60 frames" fanatics, but at Plattformern low framerate is simply poison for the control. One option for lower resolution and for more frames I would find later versions class.
But also the difficulty was slightly adapted to happiness and you can play quite well on the whole. This is also to some extent with the remote control, keeping the cross there. Properly hakelig it is only in the (few) scenes with 3D control. With controller (I have a wired Xbox 360 controller tried that works beautifully with the Fire TV) plays it a good deal better.
The playing time is rather short, a couple of hours and you're through. In contrast to the original Megadrive you can store content and then you're done accordingly much faster. The price find due to high product quality but perfectly OK, you can not compare with the usual 99ct titles one at Castle of Illusion more effort was as much driven.
