Since I could for the Sony Vario E-mount lens SEL-P 3.5-5.6 / 16-50 mm, see (in my case at the NEX 5) the lens hood in the Sony program, I have the lens hood JJC LH-17 CP bought, along with the Nikon NC filter 40.5 mm as a lens protector. Everything fits perfectly, no image constraint. Although the original 40.5 mm Sony lens cap fits on the outside of the filter, but no longer at or screwed Lens Hood. So you should, you do not want constantly screws on the bezel, preferably also order a new 'terminal cover' with 58mm thread diameter. Haptics is wertig, price / performance ratio OK.
