good machine, but not durable

I am rather more Nähanfängerin, but I've bought for the first projects on an old machine Singer Confidence 7463. The machine seemed relatively heavy, but it was quieter than the old one (30 year old singer). The accessory was extensive and the easy handling of the machine has excited me quickly. Especially the easy insertion of the bobbin thread and automatic thread tension I loved. (So ​​far 5 Stars)
After using the machine for about 3 months now and again, it has been problematic.

I had made only normal and then wanted to change the thread (incl. Lower thread). The machine has the date but only gepipt and not sewn. It was the impression as if it were stuck in "Unterfadenaufspul program" and would no longer be found in the "normal sewing program". (Software problems? In a computer sewing machine determines possible ...) Stichlänge- and wide were ok (at errors here will beep, the machine also). The very unfavorably structured manual was no help, and Singer has also not responded to an error message. Even oils, replacing the needle, multiple new threading etc. has brought no change. I would have rather wished for a Restart button. (For this, actually 0 stars than overall result about 2.5 to 3 stars)

Finally, I returned the machine to Amazon, which also works quickly and easily. Since the machine has from the problems but made a good impression, I am currently undecided whether I still give the model a chance or even try out a different brand.
