There are these Thermoses here at amazon the way in all 4 sizes in each 2 versions.
On the one hand brushed stainless steel, lacquered stainless steel furthermore also in dark red.
They are original of "Thermos", the brand of the inventor by the way. Therefore briefly the history:
More than 100 years, in 1903, was the resourceful tinkerer Brandenburg Reinhold Burger patented the double-walled vessel and a year later to protect the name "Thermos" as a trademark. Thus stuck well over 100 years of experience and development in this high-quality stainless steel thermos.
Before buying I informed myself in various tests.
Also Stiftung Warentest judged this bottle as "by far the best stainless steel vacuum" (verbatim in Issue 8/2008). Tested were 16 flasks, the original "Thermos" thermos was "very good" rating as the only stainless steel bottle both the "isolating" as well as "Material and Design" at the same time with. So it was test winner at Stiftung Warentest and has cut off the only thermos with an overall grade of "very good" (1.5).
Especially the Ausgießmechanismus is very well done. He is very smooth, much better designed than the other manufacturers and also dismantled for cleaning, therefore very hygienic. The thermos is of course absolutely tight and if you follow these tips, keeping them hot incredibly long. Piping Hot drinks are in the pre-warmed bottle after 6 hours still 88 degrees Celsius! Thus, hot drinks can be kept very warm for up to 12 hours. And cold beverages can be cooled up to 24 hours.
The following 11 tips for "Thermos" jug I have seen on another website and found at least a few points very helpful:
01) You should all flasks generally always preheat: thus the hot beverage is not equal too much heat is extracted by the stainless steel, the bottle should be filled first alternatively with boiling water (with very hot tap water) and so preheated for about 3 minutes , Immediately afterwards their desire drink should be filled. When it's cold thermos should be correspondingly pre-cooled with very cold water.
02) Carbonated beverages and ice cubes are not suitable for vacuum flasks. Also includes cocoa, milk and baby food not in the bottle, because they become contaminated too quickly.
03) Do not fill too much liquid into the thermos. Keep in mind that the screw cap needs to be screwed into the filled bottle.
You have now 04) for a long time enjoy their jug, should all thermoses generally not possible in the dishwasher! In particular, the silicone seals tolerate this poorly and leak in this way. Clean the thermos most simply with hot water. If necessary, you can clean the bottle with a soft foam brush.
05.) For heavy soiling, it is recommended to fill baking soda and warm water in the pot and leave on overnight (without screw cap and without cap!). The next morning, rinse the bottle easy.
06) The plastic lid which is screwed into the bottle, can be disassembled for cleaning in two parts. Located next to the "Open" - and "Close" push buttons are located on both sides of this "engagement troughs" for each finger. So screw you with your thumb and forefinger these upper part from the lower part easily off by turning counterclockwise.
07) Immerse the stainless steel lid never under water! Otherwise may seep between the outer steel wall and the inner plastic wall!
08) Thermos flasks should be placed in the microwave or in the oven, not even for preheating.
09) Drink Never directly from the bottle (scalding). This can be noted for example, the stainless steel cover as a drinking cup.
10.) When not using the thermos this should always be "open", that is, without closing and without stainless steel lid are stored. If you have not used the bottle a long time, rinse the bottle briefly with hot water.
11) Please leave handle children with these bottles. With a lack of caution can cause serious burns!
And if someone still for the dimensions and measurements are important:
The 0.35 liter version: height 20.5 cm, diameter 6.7 cm, weight 260 grams,
the 0.50 liter version: height 24.3 cm, diameter 6.7 cm, weight 340 grams,
the 0.75 liter version: height 28.5 cm, diameter 7.5 cm, weight 480 grams,
the 1.00 liter version: height 31.0 cm, diameter 8.1 cm, weight 520 grams.
And one final note: Amazon another reviewer had once reported that he, broke down the plastic cover, which is screwed into the bottle and he has no replacement. This part is called precisely "plug for Light and Compact flasks" and is even available as a spare part directly from Amazon: Thermos stoppers at all 'Light & Compact'
I hope my review was helpful.
