After almost 2 years with my (older) receivers therefore a new AV receiver was needed, which also supports current sound & Bilformate. In the course of the last few years have been tried by me different manufacturers + models and somehow I am, stuck since my last receiver at Yamaha (which ports is-what in the lower price ranges through out are not, of course, among other things. Also the existing Pre Out ).
The Principle: "
My amplifier is running in movie viewing with specially existing AV function only as the final stage. I have therefore the Centre, the two rear speakers and the subwoofer, regularly on the RX-V771angeschlossen (and my amplifier via RCA Pre-outs to) and then control the film operating completely on the Yamaha (very comfortable ^^).
So the receiver has been appointed (Amazon).
As anticipation yes everybody knows ...
In the morning (to the usual DHL delivery time so ever ruts in the carpet gelaufen'und on DHL waiting). After the desired ringing so down-Signing, back up and unpacked (looks good).
The haptics and workmanship go quite right. The pressure points are easy to operate, control dial can be personalized with a reasonably selected resistance (without grid position) good turn) and the rear connections are quite meticulously crafted. The gap dimensions of the case are evenly.
So the joy more about obtaining and the anticipation of the sound began to spread .. ^^
So inspected the back and going down.
Receiver in the rack, all connected-controlled and switch on the power.
A -wirkliche improvement to my previous receiver (which was also in this price range) are now finally properly designed and easy to understand on-screen menus.
The initial setup of the receiver went smoothly and almost by itself. With open questions a quick guide remains (but which is very understandable).
If this is not enough, there is an extensive user booklet on the CD supplied.
After the first of (really good on-screen menus) Browse Once unpacked and connected the Micro for the calibration function. Started and run once so leave (can be calibrated up to 10 verschiendene listening positions).
The interaction with the Pre Out connectors ran without problems.
What I already at the actual point of the receiver would be the sound.
After the first trailer were followed-through the first chapter, I (already but well-intentioned) sat with a grin on my couch and I was pretty isser sicher'Das.
But .... As the first bars sometimes bluffing ...

My favorite DVD'S + Blue Ray picked out, made coffee and going down.
My conclusion after ca.14.Tagen (sufficient) test run.
For me personally, the Yamaha RX-V771 is a 'real' world-class receiver, which for this price is not (? Hard?) Is to beat, or is likely to be.
The RX-V771's more in a .. ('audiophile') .. direction and will appeal to buyers who are looking for an honest-fun-machine.
In the film, operating the 771 offers superior tonal presentation. It provides a very good speech intelligibility-connected to a direct and honest way of playing. It provides a very natural and anmachende overall performance. Accompanied by music passages to sound properly, information rich and credible.
For complex scenes he maintains a good control of the individual information.
There are quite sure the receiver of an explosion or the nozzle unit still give a little more volume and vigor.
But all-referred to it by cooking it blares with much emotion and pepper in the room. It thickens not artificially but to-lets in return nothing burning. It's just fun and leaves nothing missing.
Wisely would be for me personally only one to call. The excellent speech intelligibility (could in systems that matched and more slender of the underlying trend / or high tones are) sometimes (EVT.?) A bit superficial (but that just has the personal feeling that listening habits and overall vote to decide). In my combination and test run (Center Klipsch RC = 52) it was a perfect match .. A on bucket.
Thus, the RX-V771 is certainly the dream -nicht- amplifier for those who renounce smaller background information and place more value on an avalanche-like mass movement incl. One with painted bass thunder.
However, it could be the dream amp for those who want to experience an honest and credible-really good idea spiced with plenty of emotions (and not want to spend too much money).
During the test connected devices: record player (phono module is carried out .. useful), MP3 players and video, PS3. When connecting and execution there was no Probleme.Das image is very good. Direct comparisons-no. Internet radio without any problems. Connection between my TV and receiver (Toslink AV4) also runs perfectly. Online update without problems and now with connected (front) Presence speakers fit very well into the overall sound.
