Now for about 2 weeks I own this home theater system from Philips and would like to share my first experience with you.
Introduction:
I have this system over HDMI ARC connected to my TV. I have both the sound quality of home theater system with Blu-Ray, HD sky (ie Sky HD hard disk receiver) as well as with the PS3 tested.
Packing:
The facility is really packed very well and shockproof. Here there is no compromise to be reported.
Appearance:
Here I was a little disappointed, because the appearance of the speakers is very modern. To my taste a little too modern. But appearance is
A matter of taste. That's also the only (personal) reason why I have forgiven any 5 star.
The Blu-Ray player is optically perfectly fine.
Construction and interior design:
The structure of the system is super easy. Even without instructions a breeze. The colored speaker cables or plugs is not possible a faulty connection. The system can be connected via HDMI ARC to the TV, but also via the optical output. Only plug in and off you go .. :-)
Operation of the system:
After I connected the system (with a network cable) and turned on, the system required only once a new firmware. This has been downloaded and installed quickly and easily (via the network cable).
The sound of the system can be regulated properly through the menu. This should be fine-tuned at first use. Even the pit spacing can be adjusted in the menu, as well as the volume of each box.
The 5.1 sound is truly phenomenal for this price. The bass is hammering vigorously, he also does not come at different times. My neighbors already love me. :-)
Both while watching TV (Sky HD hard disk receiver) as well as playing with the PS3 (match: FarCry 3) really makes the sound what ago. It borders on enthusiasm and it is a completely new television and gaming experience.
Also playing all Blu-Rays is working properly. There is not a Blu-Ray from my collection, which was not at all or incorrectly played. For quality of a Blu-Ray (1080p) I have to write here anything that everyone knows.
The remote control is perfectly adequate for my purposes.
I have also connected an MP3 player as well as a smart phone through mini-jack with the system. Here again, no problems.
The system also has a USB port, to which I can connect eg an external hard drive. I have tested this function and could not find problems (even when playing various film formats and MP3s).
Unfortunately I could not test the 3D function, since I do not own a 3D TV.
CONCLUSION:
I highly recommend this facility highly recommend to anyone who wants a reasonably priced home theater system. You get offered for little money a really good quality in the fields of sound and Blu-Ray.
