I use the Fire TV together with XBMC / Kodi, which can inherently AirPlay. However, I would then always turn on the TV, AV Receiver is still interposed. The app AirPlay runs out of the standby mode, without making the TV.
However, this app has a 6 hours run music within 3 days - had 3 to 4 dropouts. Therefore only 4 stars
