Already has a cannon SLR (EOS400D), a compact expert SONY (HX50), bridge PANASONIC (FZ150), I must say that I have not been especially impressed with the picture quality of this kit. What saddens me most is that goal 18-50WR that provides images and soft enough that the locking system is poorly designed. Added to this that the focus is not accurate and that the Manual Focus is not mechanical but electrical, and you understand that I do not include the choice of Pentax on the design of the stone. The Ks2 is itself relatively well designed and provides images very noisy during the rise in ISO. A detail bothers me: the clear key pictures is to the left of the NPC while all other controls are located on the right (go figure ...). The shape of the device also bothers me because there is nothing to hold the camera left side (almost nothing beyond the left of the lens). Getting started is not easy. The neck strap is really low end and unworthy of the 800 need to pay for the kit. I tried this with a sigma Ks2 120-400: the images are of better quality than 18-50 but this time the stabilization that does not convince me. I had a lot of camera shake. In the end I can not say this is a bad camera, but all fairly useless gadgets when you want to make beautiful picture (swiveling screen, wifi ...) fail to take my mind this adage well known photographers: the devices pass, the (good) goals remain. So my advice would be to keep your old SLR and invest in high-end goal. You will make more beautiful photos. If this unit is your first reflex you should not be too disappointed. In addition it is one of the cheapest in the range of Tropic SLR.
