The often criticized plastic flash foot is a two-part shoe - with a metal plate in the back third. This is by design, because Sony has a multifunctional hot shoe on his Alphas. So forward a contact strip. To me, the stability sufficient. Conclusion - the size / quality / performance, there are no alternative and can convince.
