Having been a N-30 have for half a year in operation, of which I am absolutely impressed (see review here), I can not say no to a good offer for a N-50. I now use both in almost identical system chains. They share the same network and the same data-NAS (Synology). It is operated via the Pioneer app that due to the Umschalterei between streamers sometimes finds it difficult with two devices under Android 4.1. The device selection is much too complicated and rarely works the first time. Alternatives I do not see, however, as known to me require a running PC. This solution is for me not aktzeptabel, they contradict the concept of the underlying devices, I would otherwise need to purchase only one DAC. So I call on the Pioneer engineers that enhance APP regarding equipment selection and -umschalterei. Sonically, the unit performed flawlessly. The Soundaufpolierer I do not use, the N-50 is lined with FLAC's up and running in Pure Audio Mode. A contrast to the N-30, I could not really find I have made also no direct comparison. The devices also contain my knowledge the same DAC, which is, however, powered by a separate power supply when N-50. I can see the N-50, as well as the N-30, any hifi enthusiasts who wants to build a streaming solution without compromising sound, only recommend. Needs improvement is merely the Android app.
