Olivier Passan, Inspector in crime, tracking down a ruthless killer: the obstetrician. This disemboweled pregnant women and then burned their faetus. Gradually, the noose is tightening around a suspect. It is time Passan stops because her family starts to be the target of threats. They come from the serial killer? Or a different story?

I loved this story! Jean Christophe Grange signs with Kaiken a really bloody thriller. This is the first novel I read this French author, I already knew by the movie The Crimson Rivers (based on the novel of the same name). His writing is fluid and sharp at the same time. The killings are barbaric, sharp characters. Sensitive souls refrain!

Kaiken is in France but in Japanese culture background. Passan Olivier is passionate about Japan and everything related to it (culture, rites and customs, the history ...). He also married a Japanese Naoko. This cold beauty is also the mother of their two children.

The character of Passan is rough around the edges. He had a very difficult childhood and escaped by going into the police. His sense of justice is for many, although often it deviates legal channels and that makes him even ... Big fan of Samurai, we can say THAT HE resembles their own way.

Naoko, Japanese born former model is a leap into the world of finance. It is cold, smooth and pale as porcelain. Its couples Passan floundering, and she no longer support her husband cult dedicated to his country. At the edge of divorce, the trials they go through will eventually be by bringing the ...

In conclusion, Kaiken is a pretty dark and bloody thriller that goes twists twists. Jean Christophe Grange leads us by the nose and takes us there or it was decided: the final battle!
