I had misplaced my original charger for my Kindle Paperwhite and therefore this I ordered here as a substitute. And I'm really excited, because it invites my Paperwhite quickly and reliably. The red light comes on when the charger is running, but I would have found it even better if it had turned green after completely charging. Otherwise I'm absolutely satisfied and would recommend it with a clear conscience, because it loads at least as good as the original charging cord and plug and is a lot cheaper.
