The Crüe in 1989, while the grunge furbished the weapons of the removal of hair metal, is not quite but almost an anomaly. Training longer in her first youth, Dr. Feelgood is their 5th album, 8 their recording debut, Mötley Crüe is still recovering from its period of "dope and alcohol," period of artistic mast and articles regularly published in the most tabloids that music magazines. The consequence of this rehab? An appetite ogre, of course!, Desires to do battle with the whole earth, to show that they are still there and to finally triumph in the charts that have not yet offered their first march to electric rants the guys in LA Musically, it results in the most ambitious album but also the most eye-catching of the Gaza Nikki Sixx & Cie as perfectly exemplified by the title track and first single from the album, Dr. Feelgood where effectively in chorus riff with a beautiful and heady rhythmic packaging, Angelenos amaze. An impression never denied the album where a large rock to bluesy intro deceptively (Slice of Your Pie), a piece resulting doped copper (Rattlesnake Shake), another where we can do think that their elders Aerosmith (Kickstart My Heart), two typical power-ballads of the group and conducted smoothly (Without You, Time for Change), other great deeds giving furiously want to fight the sole and to take over the choruses chaeur (Same Old Situation, Sticky Sweet, She Goes Down) to a song more "classic rock" but no less exciting (Do not Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)), the group spreads a expertise and up we thought lost for particularly successful debut (Too Fast for Love, Shout at the Devil). Note also the performance of a Mick Mars, who often accused of being a very average guitarist riffs and solos balance with ease and rarely heard among his cronies class of hair-metal, and that of a Vince Neil, singer tinny but certainly very appropriate for the music performed here especially as it is aptly supported by a cast of singers "all-star" the most beautiful effect. Although produced by Bob Rock in vogue that has produced the Blue Murder of John Sykes and English The Cult and soon enchainer with, to name a few, the former David Lee Roth Van Halen, Bon Jovi and , of course, Metallica, Dr. Feelgood is the undeniable top of the Hollywood career of Crüe. The improvement, unfortunately, only be a flash in the pan Vince Neil leaving its partners in 1992 to go solo with the failure that we know leaving the orphan Crüe and a bit clueless (see the eponymous 1994 the grungy temptations). But music remains and, in this case, a ruthless efficiency and a timelessness always making as listenable today is a feast to which we willingly invites lovers (hard) American rock.
