Regarding optical transmission I'm still a bit skeptical, but now this is long since established technology. And as of this cable, I can only confirm that the transmission works beautifully and with no apparent loss if you have managed to bring plugs and sockets in compliance. I was confronted with this plug-in contacts for the first time, I have quite a long hand, until I had the tiny protective caps on the inner pin detected and removed as such. Before the plugs did not really fit into the socket ;-) Two friends who I had asked in this regard and also those who so far had not used plugs, also knew once no advice. An indication of the caps would have been very helpful.
