I've already bought several flashlights (NiteCore, Fenix, LED Lenser ...) in the price segment up to 150 €. Positive on the F1R are low weight (112g), the small size and thanks to the 18650 batteries a decent uptime. In particular, the type of battery used lamps was a weak point (eg P7 Led Lenser with 4AAA batteries and an hour usage time) at my previous LED Lenser. From the optical system, the F1R is my worst Led Lenser flashlight. While, for example, at a P14-Led Lenser torch a nice big uniform beam for walks in the dark winter months has, which you can join if required, is obtained in the F1R a less homogeneous and even direction Spot continuous beam that does not is changed (worse than the P5, P5R, P7, P14). The supplied battery pack is below average with 2400mAh, so I have this replaced with a Panasonic battery with 3400mAh. The F1R has an on / off switch with an integrated push-button. On delivery, the lamp still lights up when switching on with minimum brightness maximum brightness, when re-Off / On average brightness and the 3rd stage. As the brightest consumes too much energy and the darkest is too dark, the two switching sequences are light-medium-dark or dark-medium-light not very successful. A rotary switch for selecting the brightness level would have been nice. + Lightweight and compact design + 18650 Battery + Good brightness - Bad optical system - Complicated choice of the average brightness level - Below average 18650 battery
