Although I have received my HTC 8X at a launch event and not purchased at Amazon, but I still would like to comment a few details about the Windows Phone. The mobile phone comes in a very sleek design. It is neither too big nor too small, you can get it without problems even in tighter pockets. Likewise, it fits comfortably in your hand - neither too heavy nor too light. Through the non-slip back, it also provides on sloping and slippery documents (eg desks in the university) good hold. The buttons for volume, camera shutter and screen lock are made of the same material as the housing and wiggle as good as not, but they are minimal on (this bothers me, however, of no way, because it really is minimal). The USB port is located at the bottom center of the unit and is easily accessible. Only the fact that the USB port can not be met similar to that of the Lumia 800 is slightly negative. The connector for headphones / headset is a 3.5 mm jack as with all phones and is attached to the upper side of the unit left. The speaker of the mobile phone are sufficient for calls; Music is just like any other phone no pleasure for the ears, but acceptable. Although the HTC 8X has an amplifier of beats, but this does not affect the speaker of the mobile phone. Everything is going very smoothly and jerky far. The preinstalled apps already offer a lot of interaction, but is missing in the Windows Store to date every trace of the advertised Skype app. Windows Phone 7.5 apps run on Windows Phone 8 with no problems or configuration effort. The display of the HTC 8X dissolves in 720p HD. It definitely looks no pixels, no matter how close you are stuck with the eye on the display. In terms of color, the display can also be seen, only the Black is not as intense as I would have liked. However, I must say that I personally in no way have felt affected by me. Despite the HD resolution of the touch screen responds instantly and precisely to inputs and gestures. All in all, this system seems to be very well matched, but I find 16GB memory which is not expandable a little bit - a pity. Finally, my own opinion to the mobile phone: I find the HTC 8X a pretty successful phone. I can from my previous phone, a Nokia Lumia 800, go out and say that this phone is one step further on, however, the difference of WP7.5 and WP8 is only marginal. Would I stand before purchasing a new mobile phone and wöllte a Windows Phone, I would think, whether it be necessarily twice as expensive HTC 8X or whether I'd rather take the Lumia 800. Who is umsteigt of Lumia also notice that the button for the screen lock is on top and not at the side, which I found a little confusing, but the passes) All in all, and in a nutshell: a good phone for music fans (like me) and people who want to have a powerful phone, but not willing to spend as much as for a Lumia 920 strong buy recommendation, I am at least very satisfied.
