On the back of the package installation instructions are printed. The reversible scale is set to a tank height of 1.5 m, on the second page provides an additional range to 2.5 m.
On my welded 5,000 liter stainless steel tanks the replacement of level transmitter ran out easy. Unscrew by hand the old meter and remove with float. Fit the replacement device with swimmers and tighten by hand. For my fuel tank, no adjustments were necessary. The measuring range and the measurement accuracy of the level gauge I controlled previously to the outer wall of the tank.
The new tank contents indicator is basically the same as twenty-year-old original part. At a value of less than 10 euros which is a very good performance.
The level meter can only measure the height of length and show, because it universally is used in tanks of all sizes. Of course, to be expected due to design with a relatively large measurement uncertainty at a simple mechanical instrument. This, however, is negligible in daily use.
Share To determine the contents of the tank per centimeter filling level the maximum capacity by the height of the tank in centimeters. In a 5,000 liter tank and 1.5m high which gives a value of 33.3 liters per centimeter. Note the determined value per 1 centimeter, preferably on the tank. If necessary, the displayed height dimension of the level measuring device multiplied by this value.
