The bag is made of relatively coarse (Chinese) cowhide, the layout of the items, however, carefully and cleanly executed. The leadership of the stitching is good. Had Sony brought the case for less money on the market, no one would probably have an "exaggerated" expectations. When relative is 269 EUR RRP (Stand 07/2013) to what else gets for the money market, the bar is set higher (if you spend so much money, so everyone can decide for themselves - I rate for me price against quality expectations). The to be seen in the Sony images wrist strap is actually an extra accessory and not with us.
Benefits:
- The camera has a Sony home - I admit yes no 3100 EUR for a camera, then buy me a 50EUR part, on the JJC or similar stands. The current street price is then also cheaper than a custom-made or other premium accessories
- Material is high-quality, excellent fit
- Tripod head and especially the Sniper-Strap can still be used, because the screw has a corresponding receptacle
- The sun visor for the Sony RX1 fit mounted in the pocket - at the beginning a little stiff, but it's easier with time
Disadvantages (expanded 12/2013)
- The spacers (see my clients pictures) glued inside is absolutely carelessly, the better.
- The seams are tw. not pulled tight enough (eg the lens part gapes the material 2mm apart.
- The concept is little everyday fit - the upper part has to be removed and is clunky without end - this bag is good really only for transportation.
- Why does Sony as an ugly label sewing into Untereil (see customer image)?
- When screwing on a tripod or a ball head on the pocket bottom can quickly render oneself as tight turns the screw pocket in the camera that jammed bombenfest together when turning base and Sativ cultivation. Then you can just unscrew the bottom part together with tripod / ball head and try to separate the two again.
- When placing the top part you have to pay each advises that on the camera firmly mounted bracket are folded for the camera strap down, otherwise the top part does not fit. When working without belt (eg because the lower part of a Sniper-Strap hangs), then sucks this additional handle.
- Battery exchange is payable on a 1x long PhotoTag usually mind -. Must then lack maintenance hatch in the bottom of everything to be dismantled. Likewise, for the removal of the SD card. The also expensive alternative of Gariz has such a "hole" - unfortunately run of poor quality.
Conclusion: Beautiful bag, good material and design blemishes which stem from the fact that Sony wants to siphon off as much money and did produce rather cheap (keyword spacer) to have more margin. Who is willing to pay 269 EUR MSRP, perhaps should look and see if a slightly more expensive custom-made in Italy can be considered the net sometimes by Luigi Crescenzi.
