- The light intensity F1: 4-1: 5.6 is noticeably lower than that of several super-zoom bridge Cams (eg my old Lumix.), Something that the larger camera chip of the NX series with respect to the noise performance but strongly relativized. A little more light intensity, may occur when small Flange but much more expensive not really be. Walimex creates a 85mm prime lens with F1: 1.4 with a significantly lower MSRP (street prices as another story). A start-aperture of F1: 2.8 would be really great for the focal length, but is not going to get from Samsung.
- The zoom ring is really smoothly only with speedy movement - a slow zoom drive á la "Lord of the Rings" is not possible. As Video Lens is therefore useless really great.
- It is also amazing how highly dependent the pace of autofocus from the lens. Compared to my kit lens, which I feel is quite fast focusing, this falls far from here. So terribly reliable, it is then especially in low-light situations and not (a little more intensity, so, this problem would mitigate).
- Maybe it's on the camera, but the OIS has only two modes, an OFF missing. However, because the camera software is separate from the lens software up-to-data, I suppose here that the lens slips up.
Anyway, according to this list of criticisms, one must consider the following, would you comment on buy rating:
- It is getting a 200 Focal length of the NX series is the cheapest of Samsung.
- Lenses from other manufacturers must always be focused manually because I have not found an adapter that adapts the electronics. Who depends on the auto-focus, has to rely on Samsung NX lenses.
- The only remote-alternative from Samsung (the 18-200er) is noticeably more expensive and also not brighter.
- If you like IFN which can be used even with this lens.
- The lens can also focus manually
- The 52mm filter my old Lumix fit here d'up (ok - an advantage from which not have what too many ...)
- The images are very well in good light.
Not quite so much enthusiasm, but the performance of the lens, blending harmoniously with the, the other NX products. Samsung takes a little way from the "GSP Beginner's Corner" to come out with his Objektv-product policy for my feeling. The potential have the NX-Cams. I bought my NX mainly due to lack of mirror and not because of the low price. However, I am surprised that Samsung has no single really fast lens on offer - at least a normal focal length F1: 1.4 would have to go yet. :(
My conclusion: Who needs a 200-focal length for its NX camera and can not live without autofocus, has little alternative.
