After 7 years with a Brother monochrome laser, now needed a new device. WiFi was important to me, as well as a document feeder.
Since new inkjet inferior hardly lasers in terms of cost and speed, I chose this number of Brother.
The first printer could not be initialized. The printer did not print heads clean. So back.
The second printer had after 2 weeks a blown wireless board. So back.
Everything was handled fairly easily with the Brother customer service, the more beautiful the joy that now since one year, the third printer with no problems carrying out his work.
I use it in my home office and prints about 200 pages per month.
The commissioning and integration into the wireless succeeded quickly with WPS and is stable. Also the awakening from hibernation is going very well since a firmware upgrade.
The print quality is in terms of sharpness, unfortunately, not as good as a laser printer. However, I have found that the paper makes a lot. The color printing is also ok, elle as vacation photos, I would therefore, no print.
The paper feeder on both cassette and the manual tray works well. Even though I have now and then a jam when using the rear compartment. Since I run a envelopes from the front. In the subjects I have different types of paper.
The software that I use only Macs on the network a Fritz box works well. Scanning from the MFD is very good.
The fax function I do not use.
Finally, I am pleased with the performance and the printer and the Brother Customer Value, but would be even happier if I did not have to take the customer to complete.
