Device had after 2 months of normal use a serious defect (escaping steam and water). On the website of Tefal, there are only about service partners. My mail inquiry "invoke warranty repair" at this 6 "Service Companies" delivered only 3 replies, two of which are very unsatisfactory: "Please send the device we will make an estimate". Compared to other brand companies, I think that's very customer unfriendly.
Then I submitted the device to a company and after 4 weeks of no news on the fate, damage or repair time. Upon written demand now came the information, it still lacks a spare part, the return would probably in 2 weeks (!) Take place.
Even this is not acceptable for a brand product and not common in other warranty claims.
Such long repair times I would rather expect from low-cost suppliers. For me no Tefalprodukt comes more in the budget, even if the device is good in its properties, as other reviews write properly.
In September 2010 I am sorry to continue my review: the end of August went to the steam station again on the error, with whom I had sent the unit in April 2009 for repairs. This time was carried out repairs under guarantee pleasantly fast: The Berlin Tefal Repairer sent me the device for a good week "repaired" back. Unfortunately considered this "repair" but only 30 minutes from iron. Then came back to the same effect: From the unit is running water and water is fierce eye poke from the steam nozzles.
Now I wait, as the Tefalservice handle it. My negative impression to the durability of this Tefalproduktes has certainly intensified.
