Operation and connections: connections are plentiful. Even a phono connection there. In terms of stereo I miss anything here. Okay, an optical or coaxial input would have been nice maybe. But would also mean that the amplifier has a separate D / A converter required by would probably rise a) the price or b) other components gedowngraded. So to get over. TV I have connected with separate D / A converters. Works well.
As with Yamaha usual loudness is continuously variable. Everything else is standard. The amplifier also has a Pure Direct button. Any provisions with respect. Treble / bass are then ignored. A nice feature that I often intervened with classical music. The amplifier also has a separate sub output. This I have not yet tested.
Operation by remote control also works without any problems. Only criticism: After a certain time without using the amplifier goes into standy-by. A really nice feature. The Waking from standby works but only by remote control. At the amplifier itself you have to completely make up and then turn it back on him once. Would have been nice if that had been to somehow solve different but okay complain at a high level. Toll it would have been, if the other components to the amplifier could connect and switch on the amplifier, the other components enabled. Is for the 20 year old Technics plant my father so - unfortunately not the case. Somehow a pity.
Conclusion: Great sound. Fair Price. Ideal device for people who enjoy Hifi and want to spend a fortune. 1 star deduction for: knobs, switch from plastic and because waking from standby works really reasonable only by remote control and because the components though same fire do not allow activation with each other. Would buy the device but 100% again!
