... Hear the men on unfortunately. This LP is undoubtedly the highlight of the short creative period of The Police. Musically matured in top form, the band presented once more harmoniously Stings interpretations of Jungian psychology. But unfortunately go insights into the human soul world sometimes too far: Summers "Mother" unfortunately gets the text and the melody forth something out of joint. A slight downer sprayed also Copeland "Miss Gradenko", although it is woven into a beautiful harmony. But that's not what you'd expect from The Police. But the rest is just great. Usual high and slow tempo, harmonic guitar riffs, soft keyboards, a drum thunder always perfect and the usual tormented voice of Sting and the beautiful bass line. 'Is courageous because atypical backed by a dominating for my taste too hard Synthysound "Walking in your Footsteps". That makes "Synchronicity" but again as nice and beautiful. That's the (sorry: my) best disc of the eighties! I especially like Andy's "Murder by Numbers" with gentle jazz bonds. Of this there could be more. Who knows ...
