For about two years I have in a Galaxy S4 mobile phone a Transcend Premium 300x 64GB SDXC Class 1 Card (see photo). It works from the very beginning without any Macke. Now I wanted to with the Tab s umsatteln and have the card inserted on the side. After some fumbling, she was in there too. For frequent Wechsen the slot incl. Cover is simply not designed.
Here then the problems started. I have a mix of documents, music, video and app data stored there. First I had to find that the app "Here Maps" permanent abschmierte and had to fix that in some cases only with the device is restarted. Music and videos juddered (and also stood upright) inexplicable. Many a time there were connectivity problems and the Tab s revealed abruptly that it had found a new SD card.
Then I have a Kingston 32GB SDHC inserted (new). With the there was no interference. Both cards I have alternately used on my GS S4 and there also found no problems. At some point I had the idea that it must be due to the types of cards "SDHC" and "SDXC". Then I wrote to Samsung, but only an information for the purpose in the "Device Format Card" and "unsubscribe always tidy" etc. receive. This is what I made and the problems remained.
By the way: The software (Lollipop) is completely up to date. The same applies to the apps used. Videos juddered z. B. with the built-in video player and VLC. In addition, I've tried both memory cards to a Wicked chilli microUSB adapter on Tab s and the behaviors are the same!
Unfortunately, Samsung has its manufacturer's website just from "SD card" to 128 GB. As such, I look at my Transcend SDXC. A restriction that there should be only "SDHC" is nowhere to be found. The PDF manual for Samsung Tab S has relatively subordinate and unspecific that there could be incompatibilities with making maps. Next run will not. There is also no indication whether such. B. SDXC would not be suitable or equivalent. Thus, the problem remains the same with me. So far, I have no solution found, which could eliminate the problem. Samsung there is obviously no gescheidte assistance, what I find rather weak, especially anyone who owns such a device is accessed reflexively because of the meager 16GB internal to an external memory card.
Currently, I have also little desire to me simply another and still another card (SDXC) to buy, to make test runs at my expense for Samsung. Just when you ought to grab a map still quite expensive 128GB, such problems would be very annoying. Maybe someone also has other SDXC card products experiences that could be communicated here. I would be happy about that.
