After all Gebashe against the XBOX version of Risen 3 I feel compelled sometimes tell my experience.
First, shortly to me: I'm a fan of RPGs and have (almost) all played Gothic parts (out). (Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods was partout not play capability). After I fed up with constantly had hochzupushen my computer or even to buy me a new to gamble only the newest RPG on console I came out (and did not regret it). As my favorite role-playing games (Witcher 2, Divinity 2, Risen, Mass Effect 1) were only announced or released for the XBOX, I naturally chose for the Xbox 360 console.
So now the game:
I found already Risen 2 on the XBox360 better than its reputation. And it has entertained me to very good.
Accordingly, I was looking on the 3rd part of eintrudelte with me yesterday. Since I could not wait, I have it of course immediately installed and played. At first you feel a little overwhelmed with the image that is far natürlcih long outdated. But what it is me most disturbs the one item and other Utilities usually only seen when you stand close enough and irgenwas aufploppt as "gold piece" or "switch" which you can then take or use. The animations have unfortunately not changed since Gothic. Unfortunately, many still looks stiff (eg jumping). Also a free world I imagine different approach (Every now and again I stand before small obstacles that I partout can not overcome). Perhaps we should because sometimes develop a better graphics engine or access another.
So much for the main point of criticism.
Now for the positives (and because there are a lot). The play goes slightly out of hand (OK I admit it, the fights are bad vebesserungswürdig) but otherwise works the control as it should. The story is very interesting for the epilogue and there is much to discover (despite certain limitations). What had always made me to Gothic and Risen most fun are the quests (Always wanted more and more) and there are also abound here again. From the simple quest ("find X-herbal" or "kill X monsters" to more complex tasks that often several solutions have).
The votes are mostly well understood but, unfortunately, often a little emotion. Nevertheless, the atmosphere for a piranha game is typically good. In the first 5 - 6 hours (much further I have not yet) but I can not say anything about Absürze and the like. For me, the game is running stable so far. ((Did the game also installed) Should the change I'll tell them).
Conclusion.
Compare the game with The Witcher or Skyrim or a Bioware game is not entirely fair. It's just still but a little OldSchool has quite its charm and whom the 1st and 2nd part liked being here as well have fun.
It comes naturally to it graphically on none of these Games. It tried a lot, but has neither an epic story like The Witcher, has no such freedoms such as Skyrim and, unfortunately, not as an exciting narrative style as Bioware RPGs. Nevertheless, it has its existence authorization and does what a game is. Entertain me.
Objectively would role play of mine wars between 3 and 4 starin.
But based on the reviews which probably mainly the target have the game pull down I give the full 5 points to the overall picture record straight.
It should also be briefly mentioned that accompanied 3 download codes at stake. One for the Imp Plage, one of the fog island and a special sort of equipment. (Only mention it because I could read detailed information on the insert code anywhere.)
UPDATE:
So the game has now ended 2 days ago and therefore a few brief info:
NEGATIVE:
Graphics: foresight is virtually non-existent (therefore a point deduction) annoying because you recognize opponents often too late mainly because of it. In addition, you could hammer out with a little reworking the graphics certainly much better. Think that one out of laziness or of Release Date for reasons easy to an old graphics engine (Risen 1?) Has used.
Animations: wooden work
Every now and then but hangers. Especially when suddenly the car storage starts. Maybe the trick to bring another user proposed has something.
Turn off auto-saving and small minimap. However've not tried this, and I think the game should run fine with the default settings. (If so finally arrived by the final).
Story more accessories. (Large evil Trallala trying to destroy the world, and only we can stop him)
NEUTRAL:
Difficulty: event for beginners, for gothic followers and connoisseurs of the predecessor. too easy. (Matter of taste).
POSITIVE:
Good Game Sound
Much to discover.
Many quests.
High extent. (I spent about 60 hours on the game (however found even with all side quests).)
High SpielSpass which was unfortunately marred by the negative points a little.
Now a few tips on what the want to do pretty much everything, and where there is something too hard in the beginning.
Participate in every possible quest and takes care of everything.
Take on your island exploration at the beginning always with a comrade. The monsters always attack first to you. Has softened their attacks by rolling out and waiting until your comrade struck twice at the opponent. Then your mate is attacked and you can strike from ambush.
Drive to the prologue to the first fog island and examines the legendary anklet. (In an abandoned fishing village with shipwrecks you will find in a cabin.) This gives you at least 10% more Honor points.
These should be distributed to "melee, hardness, impact" and "dexterity" in the beginning.
Next trip to Taranis (Mage Island) and the beach after Shax examined from the also accompanies you.
Then looking at the jungle after Shaq and help him with his problem. Once you have the bone grinder equips him and give it to Shaq only after you have captured a better weapon.
Also you should learn in the beginning all the perks for the cannibalizing of monsters. (On Taranis there is this also a hunter who can teach it all.)
And it should also reflect the baldmöglichtst Perk learn "Bladedancer", so you will not be constantly interrupted during the attack of counter-attacks of the monster.
So should their initial few problems with the monsters and dangers from Risen 3 have.
