I make wills shortly, with the E-5 my doubts were smashed.
The E-5 is a significant advance (compared to older representatives of E-Systems).
Just what resolution / sharpness and dynamic range concerns. Olympus has therefore made it again properly what rauszuquetschen from the 4 / 3s sensor. And I am very confident that Oly will optimize the 4/3 sensor further in the future and improve. 4/3 remains (for me at least) continue a system with lots of potential.
And when I think about it again, I'm sure that I would have the E-System not seriously abandoned, because I can not and will not simply on
- The hot characteristic mix of colors in images of Olympus cameras (JPEG quality)
- Access to so many brilliant and high quality (lightweight) Zuiko optics
- The slight edge blur (especially if you cropped a lot)
- The fast performance of the perfectly matched components camera + lens
without.
But I do not want to give the impression of a "Olympus disciple" of me now. Mir is the Achilles heel of the e-system aware (noise values at higher ISO range, dynamic range).
Whoever can make no compromises, I can only say, forget 4 / 3s! Go for full-size!
I for one am very well understood in most situations with ISO settings between 1-1600. And in even darker environments I can very well through the use of image stabilizers compensate (at least in resting motifs).
So based on my claims, I can swear my allegiance to the E-System now calmed down. This proved that the significant improvements of the E-5. Four Thirds can say - there is something else!
