Caveat: I have now played almost all parts (I, II, III on the Gameboy Color, IV, V on the DS, VII on the Playstation, VIII on PS2) now employs several hours and am with Part IX. I am 48 years old and have been playing about 35 years of computer and video games. At Dragon Quest I like the imaginative graphic style, the old-school game mechanics, the vast worlds and the detailed presentation of the protagonists. The first points met DQIX with asterisks: huge game world, great graphics, reliable gameplay with slight innovations (you see the opponent from the fighting). What I lack is something charismatic fellow, to be their motivation campaigners, would be clearer. (Think only of Torneko from DQIV or Yangus from DQVIII). Of course, this interchangeability of the minor characters is compelling because DQIX is designed as a local multiplayer game, but it's still a shame. I would like to not repeat what the other reviewers have described comprehensively, but confine myself to important points for me: Once again makes the grind fun since the fighting quickly but do not run without tactics. It even increases the voltage to see the metal slime before the fight. Also, the job system offers tremendous depth. The seemingly endless abundance of weapons, armor and other items, and the alchemy pot contribute to DQIXs high Suchtpotiental. One star deduction there with me just because of a little pale unusual supporting characters, otherwise meets DQIX my expectations. A word to adults and children talk: For me, playing to do with fun and therefore the candyshop Knuddel look suits my game needs. The bill deadly serious graphics = adult game, candy graphics = breeze does not go on very often, I much prefer befördere Flederkühe and ram compacts the afterlife than with fascistic stretching zombies, soldiers or other standard enemies massacre. Dragon Quest I can safely play with my kids and have an old video games bag also huge pleasure doing.
