Top battery - consistently good capacity - Solution for the "problem" with the positive terminal short

Property me here ordered this battery in one of our two Okober 2014 Oral-B 5000 handpieces and installed him at once. Now Therefore, I can describe my experience after more than half a year trial period. A year before that of the other handpiece battery had a dizzy spell. The installation time was therefore a miserable fumbling, because it was hardly possible to use the spring between battery and engine correctly. Because of this experience, I decided this time for this battery here.

The fit of the battery:
The battery has the same dimensions as the original built-up and fits perfectly into the mount. Because of the same size, there are no problems during the later onset of motor-spring. Fortunately, he already possesses a laterally offset negative pole so that it fits precisely into the motherboard, which facilitates the installation and some competitors is not the case. However, the negative was too wide for my battery for the board opening. Therefore, I have reduced it with a cable cutter on the half-width. The positive terminal of the battery is borderline briefly what it is criticized in some reviews deal, but does not represent a real problem. One proposed solution follows below.

Alternatively, you can also just unsolder the negative pole, pull the battery on its side of the board, so you better get to pinch back with the side cutter to the positive pole.
As described above, I have the negative pole of the new battery incised longitudinally and then halved it in its width approximately. He fit precisely and let solder easily. Now, instead of drawing the positive and possibly only very slightly to squeeze through the board, I have this simple soldered in the battery shell close to the motor with the positive pole left standing old. There is more than 1 cm of space for soldering. Thus, it will save you a lot of hassle. I would also have preferred this method, if the positive pole would have been long enough. Before placing the spring between the motor and battery I have a precaution glued on a piece of electrical tape zusammengelöteten Pole.

Experience after more than 7 months of operation:
The capacity of the battery is still good. It is at least as good as the original batteries. Keeps at twice daily brushing of 2 minutes each at least one good week - if you take it not always exactly the brushing time, there are an average of 11-12 days so.
