This review extends my review on the Samsung Pro 850 Internal SSD SATA III

The Digitus PCI Express card is required for installation in the PC a PCI Express 2.0 x4, x8 or x16 slot. I have put them in a x4 and the SSD connected to the internal output A. After the board's SATA II controller was switched off automatically. I therefore had to connect my two SATA II hard drives also to the internal outputs B and C.
The controller supports data transfer rates up to 6.0 GB / s for SATA III hard drive and 3.0 GB / s SATA II drives. There is a 4 internal port D and 2 external eSATA ports E and F, these are not activated on delivery ,. It can be a total unlocked over bridges but only 4 ports. But beware: As has crept an error near the bridge occupancy in the instruction manual, you should, if you need the external ports, to download the product Digitus-Wicki ([...]).

Now that all 3 Fesplatten were connected to the Digitus, I have determined the Pc booted and by Samsung's performance measurement program data on the SSD:
1. Rapid fashion without further optimizations
Sequential Read 3193 MB / s, sequential write 503 MB / s
Direct reading 109 944 / OPS, Direct writing 61432 / OPs

2. Over Positioning
Sequential Read 2981 MB / s, sequential write 509 MB / s
Direct reading 115439 / OPS, Direct writing 73473 / OPs

Resumé: The results to my existing SATA II Controller (sieihe Samsung 850 Pro review) are actually worth only remark on direct reading over 75348 / Ops and the direct writing over 67483 / Ops.

There must each decide for themselves whether the purchase of Digitus (48.50) is worth the performance gain for him.
I'll keep it, if only because of the 2 external eSATA ports.

Since the installation and operation of the Digitus was hassle for me and many other similar controllers are much more expensive, I have awarded 5 stars.
