Unfortunately, most (inexpensive) Hobs held not too long by. Either got the frame after a short time cracks or had moved through hot cookware affected and the controls worked at some point no longer reliable.
Now so it was that time again. This time we were desperate for a stove-top and decided after some back and forth for the product by Rommelsbacher.
The hob is extremely easy to clean because the surface, including the controls, will be covered entirely by the glass ceramic plate. Operation via touch keys opens up really well without the bilingual guide (English and German).
The noise during operation is acceptable, the hood drowned it all. Also, the fan off after the end of the cooking process relatively quickly.
At first a little irritated the two displays "OFF" in standby mode (Keyword high power consumption?), According to instructions the current consumption in standby mode, however, less than 1 watt, which is thus more than acceptable.
In any review I read the tip, you may use a switchable adapter plug to disconnect the unit completely from the mains. But these, I advise urgently, since many of these connectors are likely to be overwhelmed in the long term with the 3400 Watt. The wattage is already close to the limit of 3680 watts, which coped with a fuse of 16 amperes. And every few months a new plug adapter costs more than 1 Watt in standby mode.
But a minor complaint at the end must be still: I have the impression that the sensor keys are sometimes a bit "stiff". Whether it is because of the light or you will still need to get used to the field, I do not know. It is not a tragedy, I wanted to mention but. For half a point deduction, which again leads to rounding yes to five points. ;-)
Addendum:
Meanwhile, we have the hob a few weeks in use. So far everything is fine, however, resulted in cleaning a rather unusual problem. Unfortunately, the inscription on the glass plate turned out to be not scratchproof. I could just avoid something worse, but with a little more cleaning supplies they would have been removed completely. Since you a hob once would clean with scouring cream or a cooktop cleaner (or rather must), a star deduction for the past four.
