The following positive aspects I want to mention in addition:
- At the keyboard not only words are added, but also the writing style is memorized. In addition, you can optionally add the switch number row and you do not ever change, if you want this.
- The display is just awesome in terms of sharpness, contrast and color reproduction. The viewing angle stability is also very good. This display is sufficient in my opinion closer to a Super AMOLED display, but without showing these little too overpowered impression of a Super-AMOLED displays in certain situations.
- The extremely flat design helps something to handle this gigantic size of the display.
- The scope and the caps are very high quality and I like even better than the Xperia Tablet Z
- The home screen can also be used with this device in landscape mode
So far my points below are negative noticed:
- Sony equips its smartphones somehow with a protective film. This really is easily scratched. Here I'm worried something and I hope that you can exchange with relative ease and low cost, these films if necessary expertly when necessary and in an emergency.
- In most cases, the startup of the smartphone takes a long time. Only the Sony logo appears and then nothing happens for a while until the Xperia logo and appear following this wave in the display. In this case, however, everything is then followed immediately available, even to the WLAN the device is then checked in immediately if the home screen is displayed. Respect. this thread, I'm going to contact the support of Sony.
- The simultaneous operation of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi unfortunately I have performance issues. This I have the Xperia Tablet Z and I know, unfortunately, the Samsung Note II. I hope that I will see to it one more time to find a solution.
The device does not have an LED flash. Why this Sony has not installed, I am also not entirely clear. Personally, I do not attach great importance to the camera function and to me this was already well known in advance. It's just a pity if this flaw "alienated" some buyers. In my perception Sony is often criticized for the scope of the case are not particularly narrow. The reason I do not know of course, but I must say that this does not bother me and is actually a positive. This way you can hold the device in particular in the landscape position perfectly without accidentally constantly touching the touch screen. Initially I had some concern that my on-screen buttons will interfere. But this is not the case and it's just a matter of habit.
To all fans of smartphones with large displays I can only appeal to the judge to include this device in the decision. It is in my opinion really a great device and does not need to hide.
