I bought this key for the sole purpose of transforming a fixed PC helpless wireless card wifi hotspot, so you can enjoy with my other ordis internet without having to connect in wired Ethernet (I have no box). This key allows, thanks to the SoftAP utility provided on CD, and it works fine ... provided you have Windows because the utility does not recognize any other OS. I should mention (but others have done before me) that the primary function of this key (wifi make a computer that does not have) works well with GNU / Linux; I recall that the restriction only concerns the hotspot function. To nearly flat, this key is ideal: perfect service for a small price. I tried to install GNU / Linux with Wine; avail. Note however the excellent responsiveness of the manufacturer, which even if it did not bring any solution, responded to all my emails quickly and clearly. It's rare enough to report it. I will have to keep a Windows computer a little while ;-)
