After a day of delivery, the NB came packaged very well with me. Everything is well protected and the packaging was in proportion and not oversized.
A manual is not in, only a kind of Quick Star Guide. A backup DVD there is not, instead, you will be prompted to insert a 16 GB media and create a recovery disk. This I have done, certainly took a good hour and a 16 GB drive is now occupied.
The notebook I feel wertig, but not quality. The display can be already get over, but without being shaky. who likes shiny clear coat, is not well served by the NB because everything is dull and not so sensitive to Fingertapsen. The 15-inch model is no lightweight. On a DVD drive is not saved, which I find positive.
Criticism is the touchpad, which looks cheap and it's probably because the usage is indeed chubby and unappealing. Since I use a small wireless mouse (incidentally for months with a small AAA battery) this gripe for me personally is not decisive. If you want a good touchpad, should be the Acer Aspire in fact he fingers.
The keyboard is satisfactory, as main occupation Macbook Pro users I seem to be spoiled. The Acer keyboard has a very short pressure point, which I do not think so successful. Nevertheless, I can write with the keyboard properly and not tiring. The numeric keypad is too close to the keyboard, but this is understandable, because it's a 15-inch notebook and the place is not there to displace the numeric keypad to the right. The keyboard is illuminated. The red lighting effect futuristic, but is in the dark an acceptable means, where the lighting is not really succeeded, because they quite dimly lit. Dimming is not possible.
The notebook will immensely fast, in 16 seconds, the notebook is booted. The 8GB of memory you could tell. Setting itself takes some time and it has to be cleaned only once everything. It is very much garbage on board and a Saturday you can safely spend setting up the software properly. Why are zugesch in my browsers with advertisements and pop-ups ***, know well only Acer or Billy .. I've never had a computer down patters where so much advertising to me. Decent work in the Internet is impossible ,. Having diverse blocker, scripts etc. programs installed in the browsers, it's bearable, but still much more than Windows 7 or Safari course .. For me, a major criticism of where I do not know if Acer here somehow his hand the game has ... Guess more Windows 8.1 ..
The monitor provides a good, bright and clear image. The matte screen ensures visibility even under sunlight. No black corners or error on the display. Very good. Clips or pictures look very good, color and black values visually well. The readability of the monitor from the side is also good.
A highlight is the sound. Listen to music or a DVD play .. great. Through several speakers that are attached to the underside of the NB, is a really good sound. Even surround effects are played. The volume is very easy to control and absolutely sufficient for use in the home and as a media player for me.
The often described WLAN problem does not occur to me, wireless connections from the router, which is one floor higher and 15 m away is, easily detected and displayed with full "bar number". The compound is stable and I have no failures.
Working under MS Office goes well, which I had imagined something fast loading times. But still that's fine.
The three USB3 ports are on he right side, unfortunately, too close together, so you can simultaneously insert barely three devices. Here, the Acer is unfortunately in good company with other notebooks.
Battery performance I could not try, here I'm going to post something at a given time. Currently I use the NB under mains operation.
All in all a pretty good, little dirt sensitive notebook with good screen and excellent sound. Processing good to satisfactory. Matt display with good visibility in daylight and even at unfavorable viewing angles.
Large 1 SSHD hard drive with 8 GB swap, thereby really fast.
Criticism is just the touchpad and the advertising behavior under Windows 8.1 with the browsers Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Chrome. Here you have to tinker tremendously to the curb. Needs improvement is the pressure point on the keyboard and the lighting.
