When I run the program after two days, I see to my surprise, a pop-up window in which I am told that I could test the program after installing 7 days without register. But I had already directed Animal T me? What is this nonsense? Now I need to enter the serial number again. I'll do it. Then will take you to the MAGIX website where I am asked for my name, gender, etc.. Also, I should enter my customer password again. That surprises me, but I do it and now I can hopefully begin working. I open the program and initially look me under the help of the manual (pdf) with the introduction of. Then I look at the introduction video.
When I want to continue to work the next day with the program, I get to my surprise again prompted to type in the serial number. I am not pleased, because those are, after all, sometimes just 35 numbers that need to be focused and entered exactly, otherwise it returns an error message. I type in the numbers and groups can open the program. The next day the same game. Program opens only after typing in the serial number. This is somehow botched, it brings no fun, exactly typing always only 35 numbers before you can open the program you want!
Working with the program
As described in the introductory video, I connect my old VCR to my PC with the appropriate cable. Then I click on video transferred to the computer and start playback on the VCR. It works and the video is transferred to the PC. You can also watch a preview of the currently running video on the video monitor of the program.
What has struck me: How was it but sooner satisfied with the poor quality of video recordings, we knew it not better .. blurred, out of focus, noise and rattling, weak colors in low light, it was normal and it took us 20 years ago not really bothered. Today, the claims are quite different.
The program interface is clear and the individual machining steps in the now rescued videos are explained well understood the PDF manual. However, should one make no great hopes that as an old VHS or Super-VHS video was already blurred and out of focus, it is still today. Unfortunately, the automatic functions in the editing does not help too much further, because they can not be fine enough dose and shoot quickly beyond the goal. But for a simple data recovery, I think this program for quite fit. What I once burned to a DVD, in my opinion, can not go as easily lost as an old VHS videotape. Therefore, I will transfer my old video tapes by little on my PC and then save them to external hard drives or even burn them to DVDs. One should not expect miracles just in terms of quality.
