Picture Quality: Very tidy up on viewing angle as it is a TN Pannel.
Ergonomics: Not available. Thus, the viewing angle dependence of action of very strong.

I bought the Samsung U28D690P as a replacement for my 6 year old but already Samsung Syncmaster T240. I use it to edit texts, gaze at movies and also to play.
The Windows desktop more on 4k very small, which in turn has the advantage that one incredibly has plenty of space on the desktop. So it is also when editing text. Everything is on normal zoom level is very small but still razor sharp. So my one has a good overview of the entire page and can still identify differences in the font size / font formatting.
while looking movies falls not much difference to my predecessor. The monitor has a TN Pannel and thus the image quality is highly dependent on the viewing angle. Since the Samsung unfortunately offers no ergonomic adjustment falls the viewing angle dependency in poor positioning again to clear. Who does not want or has previously worked with an IPS Pannel, I recommend to stay in this technology.
Even in games, this monitor accounts quite bravely. Since the spieln the graphics card calls very strongly in UHD, most games only run with me in HD. Thus, 4 pixels (2x2) are summarized on the screen to a. Thus, a game still looks very sharp.
Furthermore, I also like very well the Picture-by-Picture function. In this screen can 2 input signals (in my laptop and PC) side by side on the screen.
The monitor is operated via a joystick on the back of the monitor, but what is beginning to get used to but then is intuitive.
The monitor is, as already mentioned Ergonomically very poor. There is no height adjustment or angle of the display can give a clear deficit
After commissioning, it is advisable to also essential to calibrate the colors, contrast and brightness. Then the monitor really has a very good picture.
From me there is a strong buy recommendation if you are looking for a low-priced UHD display. It's really just an entry-level display as it offers no IPS Pannel, no Untersützung for G-Sync / Freesync (especially interesting for gamers), nor special ergonomic settings. Nevertheless, for me it does the job very well and is priced unmatched.
