I shoot like and edit my photos. With my old TN screen I had often disappointment in the expression. Finally, so I wanted to have an IPS panel with ordinary colors.
The screen is very well made, despite the low price. The base looks solid, but do not use it. The frame is not glossy, which is a plus point. The buttons and switches are also well made. Only the HDMI input is very close to a recess, so that my HDMI cable just it fits over. DVI VGA and power cables are included. It is an EU-safety plug without transformer. This is located in the Monitor. Very very good.
I turned on the screen and the part is terribly bright. Have this resolved only at 60% down. I wanted to recalibrate the monitor, and I had to adjust anything. It is calibrated at the factory. With report. The OSD is fiddly. But brightness and Reader Mode can be found quickly. The colors are really loud, but not overdone. So really great, as good on tablets. Alone the Google logo looks different. Not to mention my photos. Great. Not even my Lenovo tablet can compete here. The Nexus 5 already. The LG monitor has an 8-bit panel. Ie it can represent more than 16 million colors instead of 256 000. As a result, color gradients are displayed smoother. Finally! The black level is, however, good to average. But falls in normal operation hardly. Tests on power consumption yet to come. The reaction time will be worse in IPS panels yes. I notice here compared to my old TN panel no difference. The sharpness is very good. Now I have no desire to 4K. LG is not just monitor manufacturers. They also build the panels. And did what picture quality is concerned, experienced nothing but good. Image processing now makes a lot of fun. :)
Why 24 "Full HD? I actually wanted a 25-28" Get with WQHD resolution monitor. The prices, however, are here mostly paid about 500. Have only 155 for this great LG Fiepen including shipping. That's nothing. A 27 "-Zöller with Full HD is according to many users experience a bit grainy. 24" 1080p is the right display size. It's does not have to be scaled and the resolution is very fine. In addition to a 27 "monitor to be so great that you do not fully have the screen in sight. 4k on 24" is not yet fully developed and loaded the hardware too.
