Selection: 1. Krups KB3031 mini blender Perfect Mix 9000. The is small. 2. Philips HR2095 / 90th The test is one of the winners at Warentest, very large, ice crush can (what we do not need).
In fact, everything spoke for the little Krups, but the negative reviews here are frightening: 1. If you have filled it, the Mixgut is crushed on the blade just below, it does not slip down, you have to manually push down. And if you fill it well with fruit or vegetables, then blocked the engine because it is so weak.
The solution: I both ordered and tried it.
Surprising result: BOTH Mixer have the problems described!
And that at a test winner of Warentest? There's something wrong, so sometimes the instructions. And the fact is, incidentally, also in both the correct operation:
1. Always first fill the liquid base of the final product, eg water, juice, milk
2. Cut the Mixgut into small pieces of no more than 2 cm size. So throw no half apples.
3. gradually fill the Mixgut when mixing through the filling hole in the lid above. So do not fill the blender with everything and only then loslesgen.
And lo and behold: Following these instructions both Mixer function without any problems and wonderful mix smoothies. And after I watched it, I know why nothing sticks to glass and must be pressed down by hand. The liquid that had to be filled the first thing yes absolutely, represented by the rotating blade a vortex through which everything is transported over and over again to the knife over time. The effect of the swirl is enhanced but only if all pouring through the already crushed cut too much in one fell swoop.
Conclusion: Both mixers do their job very well and without any problems.
For the big Philips speaks that it can crush ice, that it has a variable speed control, and that he can mix up to 1.5 liters in one fell swoop. But he's just much bigger than the Krups, which can mix only 600ml, but is much smaller and more compact. Both are wet their price, the Krups about 57 Euros, the Philips about 90 Euro.
Since it came forward to compactness, and we do not need the additional features of Philips, we have to be sent back.
But both devices are very useful and do what they want. Therefore, 5 stars for both.
