Incidentally, I had no problems, aufzubekommen the battery cover. Press gently on the marked with a triangle point and then pull the lid down. (Also stands in the exact instructions on how.)
Stupid thing is that the microSD slot is covered by the battery. Thus, tickets change is always associated with removing the battery. But I think the maximum 8GB big cards one does not necessarily constantly changing.
The QWERTY keyboard that appears in the input mode, if you tilt the phone on its side, works fine. I at least had me barely mistyped.
Ever work in my opinion the touchscreen very well and sensitively. To protect I have put me a Vikuiti film on the display. (This affects the display neither optical nor in a functional manner is expensive, but worth the price more like films that cost half less and only point of criticism:.! You can see the fingerprints really nice ;-))
Nice are the widgets that you can lay out a menu free on the 3 screens large desktop. Contrary to other reviews the way you can all completely removed from the selection, which are themselves of no interest to you.
The latter is particularly useful because it some Internet-based widgets are.
This is also sometimes my biggest gripe with the phone: It chooses unasked into the Internet when you start an appropriate application.
Fies this is, for example, in the game directory: There is the folder "Other Games". If you choose this to, you end up immediately on the Samsung games website! As is' nothing with inquiry. Exclusive remedy against it seems to be to create an Internet profile that only contains garbage, so that the phone can not get access. But created in 2 minutes, so nothing wild.
Only drawback of this behavior is still.
2. major criticism, where I am in the game folder: Java applications can be installed only online. So nothing 'drawn games from the old phone to the PC and to the new draufgespielt "with. It does not work. At least not without more questionable practices, which can be read on the internet abound.
But this is, after some 'tinkering' by 2 points somewhat into perspective:
The online costs a game to pull to the phone are rather small and the games are not worth it in most cases anyway.
The installed on the mobile games are quite useful if you want to necessarily go daddeln so. (Incl. Two halfway senseless dice that you 'throw' by shaking the phone can ...)
However, half of the installed games demo versions that cost extra again to complete unlock.
The built 3,2MP camera does not tear your socks off, but does - assuming enough brightness - very usable images. Of course, not comparable between a current good digital camera, but it is quite sufficient for snapshots. However, there is no flash.
In return, various effects and gimmicks can be realized with it (such as different picture frame or panoramic shots.)
Nett is incidentally also the feature that you only have to tend the phone slightly when photos-movies to watch the next image.
But there are other ways, the battery drain faster to get: mp3 player, media player, FM radio ...
Disadvantage of the MP3 player: He ignores folder structures and shows an all title to the piece. Apparently the only remedy is, however, create playlists. In my opinion, unfortunately somewhat awkward way.
The FM radio is serving also neat, but is as an antenna headset required. (... Which unfortunately does not have a standard connection - but it is there for little money Adapter.)
I particularly like but that you can listen to music through the speaker even relatively neat-sounding, and does not rely on earplugs.
The movie player is also useful. The quality is OK - BUT (!) - You should not be doing to the integrated in Samsung New PC Studio Converter! Much better it works-to-get-free on the internet program XMedia Recode. The Samsung program has succeeded with me, convert some movies so that the cell phone breaks in the middle in the movie clip with an error message.
The Samsung software is already more nice to look at as profoundly useful.
But well, for most of the functions needed to do not. In phone itself can be adjusted if it logs on as a mass storage, media players or Samsung phone with the PC. On request, the phone also asks each time you connect to the PC on which type it is signing up.
But to get to the actual meaning of a mobile phone: the phone.
The phone book is beautifully designed and leaves a lot of room for all kinds of information from birth, different phone numbers per contact, ringtone (also like in mp3 format) and so on, vibration mode, photo etc, etc.
The phone numbers you can set a default number that is automatically selected when you print on the respective contact. The other numbers can be achieved if you call to the contact.
SMS'e be sent also via the phone book, and here of course, either via the large on-screen mobile phone or QWERTY keyboard.
As far as I've read, the SMS memory is limited to 500 messages. But let's be honest - who gets the full within a short time, has much more serious problems ;-)
All functions can be mostly the way either via the large widget desktop call or via the main menu along with 3-sided "side menu". The latter is divided into the areas of communications, tools and Multimeda.
The voice quality during calls is actually very good!
It should be noted also that the battery is good really pronounced. I've been to 5 days for the first time 'reload' need. Does not sound Dolle, but if you, however notes that I have tampered with during this time a lot with the device, which is a very good value. My previous Nokia 6020 has held about 7-8 days. However, I have this mainly unused 'rumgeschleppt with me.
This is also a great advantage from the S5230: It is fun and invites you to do something with it. The 'ol' Nokia was just a mere phone ;-)
Hence my conclusion: It's not perfect (hence only 4 stars), but at the price simply super! (Incidentally, the SAR value at which the radiation is given, with 0.53 W / kg also still quite low.)
