Incomparable !! Fan ideal 4cm in a NAS, a standalone player and any other noisy device.

I rode in a NAS D-Link DNS-320, the fan noise 5 volts of origin was particularly painful. This fan starting from 5 volts, a change in voltage to 12V was required before installing [..]
At 10 volts (Low position NAS) this fan is silent, while at 12 volts (High) makes as much noise as a Netgear Stora NAS, ie a relatively acceptable level.

Personally, I opted for an installation with Cable "Low Noise Adapter" provided with the Noctua fan to further mitigate a little more noise (reducing the speed to 4500 rpm instead of 3700prm)

If you are frustrated by the noise of 4cm fan of your device (NAS, standalone player, Ethernet switch, chipset ...) I recommend it, especially as the supplied adapters allow you to install all circumstances (20cm fan cable, extension 30cm connectors 3 blocks, 3 blocks adapter connector to 2 universal adapter "OmniJoin" 3M Scotchlok).

A did not specify a slight over-thickness at the 4 fixing points, due to vibration silicone device (11mm after installation). In this connection, the silicone and screw fasteners may also be provided.
