24.1. 1975: The Cologne Opera at Offenbachplatz is show and listening position of Keith Jarrett concert.
Everything around it up to the wing is improvised arg, and precisely because of the sounds so imperfect, Jarrett puts a lot in your left hand, in the middle and lower registers and comes to an almost hypnotic music between classical, blues and jazz. The gold rush to the Cologne concert takes as opposed to California still on: "Keith Jarrett: You have to hear"
... But it was in my case, browsing at the public library and the simple title on a white CD cover. On the picture Keith is bent over the wing and forms with it a circle. The back Photo by Wolfgang Frankenstein can this not be added to the Cologne Opera, but this only in passing.
The music is focused on a double LP: 26 of part 01 plus 40 minutes of parts 2a-c makes 66 minutes. The sound is well worked out (Manfred Eicher, ECM), also on Keith Jarrett and Verzückungsstöhnen -stampfen you get used to quickly. He attacks, is reported to Pausengong the opera and developed him. And in abundance, he creates a musical idea to the next, on a for Jarrett relatively harmoniously.
Conclusion: I've finally ordered here because I have it but borrowed repeatedly. The file can I as my recommendation, because this CD has truly enough musicality for a whole Gros at Hördurchläufen.
