Admittedly, the first view after opening the packaging impressed with a lot of shine.
At least everything looks very high quality and for Europe, a 30-year limited warranty. There is even a (internationally valid) warranty card with guarantee number in the form of a credit card - but excluding the number is found then no producer or any contact details (address, telephone number) to which you can contact if necessary. Instead, a registration card is attached, which - provided with the date of purchase - to be sent to an address in Emmerich. Company name? None !!!!
Now I wanted to know who because the manufacturers of these fine save is sometimes.
But on the accompanying documents (guarantee etc.) a manufacturer is nowhere mentioned. So - the man is curious - I thought I'd get "googled" and been amazed when I found the pots under a variety of promotions and suppliers (including Amazon). Even the prices are different in some cases extremely.
The Swiss manufacturer (Swissler Royal GmbH), on whose website I have nearly identical pots found, sells its products acc. Site to a multiple price. But but the references to one or just this Swiss manufacturer in the various offerings seem to me very implausible!
It is also interesting that the same cookware set can be found in a variety of packages on the web!
Rather, I believe in a copy of the Far East, which can probably be sold legitimately, because not a brand name is copied.
This assumption is justified on closer inspection of the pots.
The stainless steel surfaces are meticulously crafted and polished. Except ... the riveted handles. The rivets are inferior and emit no gloss. They are not polished or visually refined. At the lower edges of the handles, the insides are so poorly deburred that could cause injury even if one engages accidentally clumsily. In addition, do not sit on a pot both handles firmly. You can press down and pull back with a little pressure on the handles. The tightness of rivets is of but not (yet) affected.
Note the thermometer in the lid ....
The display (20 ... 100) is no degree scale. In boiling water (ie 100 degrees) breaks down after 5 minutes, a value of about 75 a.
Oh yes ...
Cooking can be also with the pots - and it works quite well.
Only you should do before buying idea whether the diameters of the pans also correspond to the sizes of the hobs. So ... let's measure the plates and it put the pots in thought.
Conclusion:
For the price you can not expect happens to American precious pot manufacturer. The guarantee I will certainly never draw. When the first Macken should show they are disposed of again.
