Noticed positive:
-> 4.3 Inch Smartphone is perfectly in the hand and is operated with one hand without any problems. The weight of just 133 grams matches the size.
-> The design drops Samsung from typical, all buttons for operation are as usual on the lower side. Processing Technically there is nothing to complain about, the case is made of polycarbonate (plastic), this feels in this model but high on.
-> The 4.3 inch TFT display with a resolution of 480x800 like it due to the good contrast and high brightness adjustable good but at a nearly 200 euros device I would have liked an HD display. Due to the high brightness, the display is easy to read even in direct sunlight.
-> About a MicroSD card memory expansion.
-> The voice quality was in my conversations always very good.
-> The battery is replaceable and has 1800 mAh. The loose enough to get through the day. Turns your mobile data network and Wi-Fi are also possible as from 2 days.
-> The operating system Android 4.2.2, although slightly outdated but makes on the Galaxy Core Plus a good impression. It is stable and not jerky.
-> The 5 megapixel camera is perfect for occasional snapshots. In good lighting conditions upfront good shots. The LED flash is designed to help in low light conditions. This works unfortunately only conditionally. Often images are undscharf in low light conditions and / or noisy.
-> The camera app has many features such as a sports mode or night mode.
-> On the front there is a VGA camera, which is perfectly adequate for the odd video call.
-> When it comes to connectivity, the Samsung can with GPS, Bluetooth, HSPA +, WiFi 802.11 b / g / n, Wi-Fi Direct and NFC points.
The one negative to me:
-> Probably the most negative and at the same time fraglichste point is the plus in the product name. The Samsung Galaxy Core Plus acts as successor to the Samsung Galaxy Core. Had the Galaxy Core 1 GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory as the successor now has only 768 MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. Only the operating software Android has been updated from 4.1 to 4.2.2. The customer is at the label Plus assumes that the unit has been technically improved and this is definitely not the case, compared to the previous version of the smartphone has technically deteriorated.
Very questionable what Samsung has been thinking.
-> No automatic brightness adjustment of the display possible
-> The device comes with only 4GB of internal memory. A microSD card is therefore a must purchase.
-> For the latest 3D applications, the 1.2GHz processor in conjunction with only 768 MB of RAM is sized very lean. Current 3D games can only be played if the settings of apps are down regulated to a minimum. Simple 2D games creates the Galaxy Core Plus, of course, without sacrificing quality.
The Samsung Galaxy Core Plus is a good mid-range smartphone with a mediocre price / performance ratio. Anyone currently looking around for a current smartphone in the price range of 150-200 Euro should at least have a look at the Moto G. This provides for 169 euros more power than the Samsung Galaxy Core Plus and is the software side up to date (Android 4.4).
Overall, taking into account the entire smartphone market could not convince me the Galaxy Core Plus.
