The LED strips should be attached to the right, left and top side of my TV. For this purpose, the connection of three LED strips with a "cord" between mandatory. In product scope, two such cables are included.
I took the measure on television and compared how long the rights and first LED Strip should be about, cut him off, took the measure from the second (top), cut it off and took the measure from the last (left) and also cut these off.
This already started with me also all the fun. When connecting the individual LED strips (right and top) with the cable broke the socket of the connection cable. This can not be maintained with the required force on the contacts of the LED Strip and the selected color - for example, yellow - is summarily to blue or green ... So that this cable is ever useless.
The connection between the top and left I brought without further destroyed version hin.Dann struck me: Now the LED Strip for the right side is long enough, but by breaking the version, the upper and thus also of the left LED Strip supplied wrong ... The LED-Strip for the upper and right side were thus also become useless. A single, long piece was needed. So I plugged the power cord is not "front" on the first LED Strip the role, but at the back because the rearmost piece by sheer luck was still long enough to take as a single right and upper side of the TV can.
Now it made at the upper right corner a bend. "No matter," I thought to myself. "You can not see anyway but behind the TV!", Which also proved to be true happiness. But it did not stop. this little "absurdity" was enough that the adhesive effect of the LED Strips was not enough to adhere fully to the TV. After a few minutes of the strip pulled away little by little and fell off. Well, tape must be found. On the upper side four strip attached on the right side three, finished. It keeps.
Continuing with the left!
As already mentioned was not the version here to break. Here I joined the top piece with the left piece, it stuck to the TV and lo and behold - it holds ... for now.
First turned and admired the lights splendor that was behind my TV now realized. Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, all in different levels of brightness, super. White there is no such right. It is "mixed" from the primary colors, which creates a bit more like light blue, but does not guarantee White.
One day later, the left LED Strip fell off ... despite proper attachment to the device. Regardless of tape over it. Three pieces here.
The next day, broke the right and upper side despite tape ... Diehard over it stuck, more and larger strip this time.
One day later again. Towards evening changed the color of the left LED Strip of "white (light blue)" in green. Just because. Above and right it was still white or light blue. What had happened?
The version of the cable was broken. Yes exactly. I also was amazed when I noticed a clearly visible fracture in the socket. This solves the problem as in the first version: Little contact, wrong color ... strips unusable.
Without further connecting piece that meant then: only right and upper side are illuminated. Looks accordingly from mieserabel when two illuminated from three sides ... so I need a 3m long piece again as an individual in order to include the TV can. After my first imprivisierten solution I had exactly 10cm left.
Summarized the most important points:
++ Intense colors
+ In principle, easy installation
- Very poor adhesion of Strips
- No but White Light Blue
- Version of the connector breaks like saying
The colors are really nice and the mounting simple in principle, but all this is useless to me if a) the strip will not die sticking around and b) the wording of the connectors simply breaks and thereby meter long strips become useless ...
Therefore, the smallest with 1 star rating and not advise. Rather spend some Euros over thereby can rob the nerves.
