The display can only be down, so flip as usually at the Sony SLR's, but do not twist or sway to the side.
The screen is nice and bright, sharp, and the pictures can be good for the post when in judge back in.
The equipment is very versatile .. of various scenes MODIS as HDR, monochrome, dining, beautiful skin, night ... fully automatic to time / shutter priority and full manual control is everything.
Also well equipped is the video mode. From automatic programs to fully manual can be set here a lot.
ISO, aperture, image style, shutter speed, various recording formats (AVCHD, MP4) can take care of everything.
What I liked a lot that the sensor is now stabilized directly into the camera and is not necessarily by an objective need with stabilizer.
The image quality also depends on the glass ... for me it was the 14-140mm and the 20mm 1.7 ii very well.
Up to ISO 2000 you can go calms, without the noise disturbing occurs on the screen (now unless you sit in front of not 10cm screen). until about ISO 3200 then go in jpg mode quite a lot of details in 100% view lost.
But if you shoot in RAW you have enough flexibility in post-production.
The videos look very good. sharp, very good dynamic range for light / dark, and the color and detail are excellent. since one does not come close to the APSC sensor models from Canon, Sony, Nikon, Pentax.
Visually act in direct comparison to the GH3 videos almost as good, even if one here has no such a high data rate.
The GX7, but also the noise in video mode a better grip than the GH3 and the autofocus works here faster and quieter than in the Lumix GH3.
If you are interested you can see here a very nice comparison: [...]
But I can recommend everyone to look at the camera in the store and to take into their own hands, because whoever slightly larger hands has determined already received a little trouble at the resort, there is not so much room and with a bigger zoom lens wirds then again a bit uncertain.
Currently the Lumix GX7 is more expensive than, for example, the GH3. Those who want to have more more professional functions, a tick better images and excellent video and those who like it a little grip and weatherproof / robust like, I can only recommend the Lumix GH3 (in the Micro Four Thirds .. and less than 1000 euro)
