Anticipating only a very brief digression to the operating system, before I go into more detail on the characteristics of Nokia. As mentioned I am Windows Phone pendant the first hour and was able to follow the entire development live. Nevertheless, I have but I also always looked at other OS. And yes, an OS is and will remain nunmal a matter of taste and Andorid or iOS have their weaknesses! But what about Windows Phone 8 is to say - since the introduction of WP7 on WP 7.8 to deployed here WP8 has an awful lot done, so that Windows Phone 8 an absolutely competitive and equivalent OS is to Andorid and iOS now, not least because the app store now has more than enough. Of course, changing the operating system always requires a little familiarization period, therefore the interested parties and possibly change the willing is warmly recommended that this orientation period not longer than the change about 10 years ago by the individual entering an SMS on T9 and then on QWERTY. So do not hesitate, but dare!
Now for the Lumia 620 as a technical device itself.
--OPTIK--
The optics I find really the Knaller. No matter what color you a good piece now acquires, in combination with the matching tile color the Lumia looks very unique and is definitely something different than the black / white pabulum the remaining manufacturers.
--VERARBEITUNG--
I was very impressed already by the processing of the Lumia 820 and 620 although quite a price range ranks among them, you do not have here do without in the least quality. The mobile phone is absolutely wertig in the hand and also the exchange cover sit bombproof.
--hardware / PERFORMANCE--
Although the 620 compared to its big brothers 820 and 920 were without some RAM and processing power, you realize it during normal operation absolutely nothing. The OS runs insanely smooth, and all apps load quickly and run absolutely performant! I have now found no app, available for the 820 but not on the 620 runs. I can possibly imagine that there could be a couple of top games, the lack of RAM may not run on the 620 me. However, for all the "normal" applications I see no disadvantage.
--KAMERA--
The 5MP camera is of course not really up to date and that is possibly the point where you have to make in addition to the absence of LTE really big concessions in relation to the "larger" Lumias. Nevertheless, the picture quality in good lighting is definitely for ordinary snapshots. In the dark and brilliant for holiday pictures, the camera is not suitable then more.
--DISPLAY--
For this price range offers the Lumia 620 a really great display! It might not be quite as strong as the light of the 820/920, but it is really sharp and contrasty ... my feeling perhaps even a shade better than the 820th
--sound Quality--
The voice quality during calls is really good. Voices are clearly understood and suppresses background noise as much as possible.
The music quality is surprisingly strong. The mitgeliferten headphones are not that great, but the sound still relatively crisp. The software-based equalizer enhances the sound then again at will, and offers far more than just a measly 2-3 presets - great NOKIA! In addition, there are the accessories store for music fans really funky and good headphones for those who can not do anything with the standards.
--NOKIA APPS--
That was for me the biggest surprise and the really positive because some apps are absolutely outrageous! For example, the Photo Beamer app. Photo shoot with the Lumia, open the Photo Beamer website at a monitor / SMART TV or similar in the browser, scan QR code with your mobile phone, the images are streamed from the Lumia on the large monitor. Very easy and super convenient. The Nokia Mix Radio app is awesome ... Free Music Streaming on all genres. Although no playlists, but it is better than the normal web radios definitely. Also one must emphasize the Nokia Navigation. Free worldwide map data, which is available offline and works beautifully! Since Nokia has put into the real stuff! And there are plenty of other good and exclusive Nokia apps.
--FAZIT--
In this price range, the Lumia 620 is absolute peak. I also have the HTC 8S looked at me, which is not bad, but due to the abundance of additional features that the 620 brings with it the HTC draws clearly the short straw. Who wants to carry out any absolute high-end applications or games, not places great emphasis on a very good camera and not a 4-inch display or larger required, is absolutely right when Lumia 620 and will certainly not be disappointed.
As I've read in other reviews that there are problems with the Microsoft account would be ... I can not confirm at least. The 620 is now my total 4. Windows Phone and the account-linking has always worked smoothly!
