My choice fell on the protectors of atFoliX, since the films of this manufacturer have received good reviews already for older Nintendo 3DS systems. The shipment was fixed and now put their films finally in an envelope in my mailbox. I especially like also the delivery: included are all 6 films (3 for the top screen and the touch screen for 3), a blade for pushing out the bubbles and a welded in vacuum microfiber cloth, on its packaging, I was particularly pleased.
The application of the films is very simple and is described in a small enclosed instruction booklet carefully. Furthermore, the films are washable, so you can easily correct big goof. However, this was not necessary for me, as all bubbles were removed immediately without any problems. The films are ideally suited, which made it easy for them to apply to the New 3DS and now they cover both screens completely. The functions of the touch screen are not limited thereto.
A special praise there is for the transparency of the films. These are really crystal clear and so distort not the colorful screen of the New Nintendo 3DS. The only drawback is that the films reflect, as they were not anti-reflective. However, this is not advertised and the manufacturer offers a corresponding variation of the films on, so there is no penalty for me.
Addendum of 22/02/2015: Now that I have a few days have been testing the films, I have to say that the mirrors do not bother me while playing. Maybe that would be outside or under strong light influence the case, which is why customers who want to use the device often, under these circumstances, should take this into account. All other New 3DS owners I can the films but really highly recommend.
Addendum of 05/14/2015: Well I have since last Friday, the game "Puzzle & Dragons Z", which tasked the touchscreen. It has been found that the films are anything but scratch: Although I have not very much impressed while playing with the New 3DS associated stylus, deep scratches are now in the film.
These are predominantly etc. incurred in moving the stylus on small dust particles, which can not be even with multiple daily brushing with the enclosed microfibre cloth completely eliminate. In particular, in the narrow gaps between the frame of the touch screen and the edge of the film but remains some hanging, which then spread when playing on the touch screen.
There are, however, to see some small scratches caused solely by the stylus. This is very annoying and not looks beautiful, moreover, it makes me doubt the advertised scratch-resistant coating.
Very sad, especially for these relatively expensive films.
