Was skeptical at first when I heard of the Duets album. Many of these albums are boring and only for Abkassieren of aging musicians who run out of ideas. This is completely different: Van the Man has many absolutely cool singers and musicians into the studio: including Soul God Bobby Womack (RIP), gospel diva Mavis Staples, bluesman Taj Mahal and the new jazz star with the cap Gregory Porter, at times enumerate my Favorites. All had heard a lot of fun and Van sounds as alive as long no longer. The backing band is always the same, so that a sense of jam session is created. The only failure is once again Mark Knopfler, whose grumbling just bored (just like his last solo album). Conclusion: Class Album makes a lot of fun!
