The new groomer has received an optical facelift. I would indeed rather orange instead of red name, but this combination makes her a bit more than the old blue / gray / black combination. From size and shape ago not much has changed and also the shaving heads of old shavi can be used on the new device without any problems. What is striking is the new Power button. I sincerely hope that the problems have been fixed from the first generation, more on that is there in the long-term test. At least the power button makes a solid impression, the old rubber button was replaced by a responsive little pressure softbutton. (See customer pictures)
Trim and shave works as usual. The result is not perfect, and certainly not the way it is advertised on the package, but the armpit, chest and pubic area gives me the result completely out. Who wants it more thoroughly, just have to take the razor and requires just a lot more time. By-maintaining rounded heads, skin irritations are quite rare, even when driving quite often about some points.
Conclusion: For the quick shave in the shower and the Bodygroom is just the measure of all things. 1 star I draw from, since the shaving result is never as smooth as it is advertised. However, as said at the beginning prepared, in all these years I have never found the price-performance ratio slightly better. Now I only hope that the battery and the power button this time their service is not as fast failure.
Supplement June 2013:
Power button and battery power have been kept very well and the device continues to work powerfully and with no signs of fatigue - 2-3 a week.
Addendum December 2013:
The current generation seems to have been really improved. Neither can for the battery, nor do I have other problems.
Supplement in July 2014:
The shaver is still working reliably. A new shaving head I have ordered and used a few weeks ago, but both the power button and the battery life is still cause me any problems, Philips seems to have got the problem under control.
