Positives:
- Handling: Everything can be quickly, cleanly and precisely adjust
- Weight: The tripod weighs about 900 grams and is therefore most suitable for traveling
- Height: The tripod is sufficiently high thus it is possible to come through normal high railing with the camera - of course at the expense of stability
- Stability: As a travel tripod very good
Negatives:
- Stability: As soon as the 3rd Schiebefuß is extended, it is already very shaky
- Quick Release Plate: This is not to tighten
- Center bar hook weight: This would have been a fine addition if the bottom of the center bar, a small hook had been fitted, this can be boring indeed itself, but a shame that this was not considered innately.
The argument I want stability, however, absolutely refute. The tripod is a travel tripod that has the ability to be widely deployed. I do not expect from a 900 gram tripod that it extended to 1.50 meters gives me the absolute stability. That's unrealistic. On the contrary, I am impressed by the stability. Of course one must not center bar extension. But my experience has been that when the middle class is retracted and one 2 of 3 feet extends the stability in light winds is absolutely given. I had even with long exposure times (10-20 seconds) absolutely no camera shake.
The tripod is absolutely suitable for travel, a great pack size, a great weight, it feels still very high and everything can be adjusted quickly. It can even be saved again 4-5 cm when flips the middle class and so the ball valve is installed down towards your feet. So the tripod itself fits into a daypack.
I had as compared to small Cullmann Nanomax 200 and 230 at home. MyScreen of Cullmann been here for me confirmed simply unfit. Unstable, cheap manufactured. As much as I actually reach back to German goods, not of this quality. The stand carries at least several hundred or even thousands of euros.
Mainly I have the tripod with the Sony A77 and the SAL1650 used, so I guess times to about 1.5 kg. I would say this is almost the limit, the limit is here mainly reflected the Schnellwechselplattei n vertical shooting (next paragraph).
Especially in light of the only real drawback. The quick release plate. This is built on properly fixed. However, it is difficult to fix this properly fixed on the camera, which was lacking for screw this Dreher to the removable disk on the camera bottom right to tighten. You can use a screwdriver for this, but this I had not there (and I suspect have the fewest). Or maybe someone here has a tip for me?
=> The main problem here was upright shots, the camera is always slightly slipped because the plate was not bombproof mounted on the camera bottom. The ball head has kept the weight, but I have the drive just is not as firmly placed that the camera is not easily moved -> in horizontal shooting course not a problem.
Also in the evening in Bangkok, it was at 10 sec exposures even with the SAL55200 to cal 100 - used 130 mm -.. Absolutely no judder, in addition, only minimal wind.
For the price the tripod in my eyes is definitely "good" - and many of the bleating - it's a travel tripod, 900 grams mean no absolute stability to all conditions in all settings.
4 of 5 stars. Who issues these may like to ask! Gladly will be helped.
